Knowing Your Volkswagen App Reviews

We love our VW, but would reconsider a purchase if it were based solely on this app. After selecting my year and model, why does the app always open with the year and model selection screen? In normal apps, you would think the search feature would search your specific models manual for the term selected. Instead, this finds every instance of the term for every model and year. Why stupid videos instead of a searchable PDFs? Why is VW the only manufacturer on the planet that doesnt provide PDFs of their manuals? I could go on and on...

When I enter my vehicle VIN number, the app says its invalid. My car is a Golf MK7 TSI 3 door bought in Canada.

App has great video tutorials, but to see the electronic manual you must provide your car VIN. I purchased a Canadian car, and it seems that non-US VINs arent recognized. Hopefully this can be changed!

The app does not appear to support Canadian VINs. Not sure why its in the Canadian App Store.

Own a 2012 Jetta TDI. The vin entry doesnt let me log in. Pretty disappointed.

Without support for Canadian VINs, this isnt very useful.

App has potential but access to some documents requires a serial number. When I enter there serial number for my 2014 Tiguan the app does not recognize it and will not let me access the user manual. Tried with the serial number for my wife’s 2014 Jetta with the same results. Why require a serial number in the first place ?? Now that you have removed the VIN requirement for 2016 models, why not do it for all previous model years?

Attempted to set up my 2013 Golf Wagon, but when it wouldnt take my VIN I realized according to the app my car doesnt exist. Like I said, it seems like it would be a very cool app. :(

Looks nice, probably would work if it would recognize my VIN but doesnt.

It would be so great to have an itinerary of maintenance requirements here for each persons make and model so its quickly accessible with perhaps reminders as you enter your mileage and the app predicts roughly when it will occur with a reminder ping

Looks to be missing support for 2015 cars. In my case when I enter my GTIs VIN # an error is returned stating something about the model year not being supported.

Ill echo some other reviews: its time to update for model year 2015 vehicles. Until then: Deleted.

I just purchased a new 2015 Passat, but the car did not come with a user manual and the quick start guide doesnt contain directions for what I need. Please update the app to include your current models!

This App is great! It explains and shows all the features and technologies of your vehicle.

My VINs wont load and therefore I cant access owners manuals. Worthless.

I love the videos. Theyre extremely easy to understand and replicate.

Excellent app and very educational. Love the ability to watch the videos and download the owners manual for my car.

Limited info and cant zoom on tiny writing when you open chapters; VW needs to just release a pdf of the owners manual like every other manufacturer
